Re: 6600M screen & panel leds. Can I shut them down?
In the main menu “Front Panel” tab, disable the “Button Backlight” button to turn off the LEDs. I don’t think you can turn off the panel display.1 -
Re: Looking for a non-M 6400 or 6500
I suggest a 6400, unless you are desperate for four slices. Flex no longer guarantees it can repair 6300s or 6500s due to obsolete parts.1 -

Even easier to change the AGC-T setting on the “M” models—just turn the knob.1 -

Yes. After connecting via an Ethernet cable to your LAN, you will get the Select a Version screen upon powering up your radio.1
